A refreshing city

One of the "reasons to love Lisbon", as per Time Out Lisbon for Visitors, is the fact that "it reinvented the kiosks". "Lisbon may not have an abundance of burger vans and other street food on wheels as do many other European cities, but the city's downtown streets are now dotted with pretty kiosks, many of them recently restored or created from scratch. Locals joke that they have grown like mushrooms at key locations. They serve coffee and othe cheap refreshments; some even serve meals - such as those on the Avenida da Liberdade, or the various Quiosques de Refresco in Praça Luís de Camões (pictured), Praça de São Paulo, Praça do Príncipe Real and Praça das Flores. All of them have an esplanade."
